Hi, I’m Steph
My earliest recollection of yearning to be a witch was in first grade, when we sang a song about witches for Halloween. I was distressed due to being bullied by a kid who teasingly called me “Owl Eyes” despite my protests. Singing my little heart out, I contemplated that if I were a witch flying in the sky I’d absolutely have the upper hand against that jerk.
An avid reader, Little Steph could (and still can!) often be found engrossed in fantasy tales about ghosts, witches, or vampires. Seeking contrast to my life in small town Western Pennsylvania, I spirited away to magical literary realms. I planned little rituals and built altars (incorporating iconography from my Catholic upbringing) from about the time I was ten. The first spell I cast was a love spell to bind my heart to the heart of Duran Duran’s John Taylor. It worked! I love him to this day.
And then, when I was fifteen, my family uprooted and landed in the Bay Area of Northern California, a shift so dramatic that it felt being transported to a mythical realm I’d dreamed about. A 90’s goth with a fascination with anything enchanting and occultish, I crossed paths with real, practicing witches who were raised in magical tradition sometimes generations deep. I started reading Tarot when I was 18.
Many years and magical chapters later, I’m now a certified coach and intuitive guide. My approach is modern, direct, often funny and sometimes poetic. I believe the Tarot’s universal themes and symbolism are available to and interpretable by anyone who picks up a deck. However, when a Tarot interpreter and querent are well-matched, unknowable magic sparks, leading to profound insights. You certainly don’t have to be a witch to read Tarot, but I think my intuitive witchiness gives my readings their signature flair. My clients seem to agree!
If your intuition is leading you in the direction of guidance through Tarot, I’d be honored to help you embrace your magic.
“Steph’s reading for me was both true and heart-felt. Just when I needed a gentle reminder, she was there with grounded, humorous & actionable guidance.
And yes, I laughed and cried and felt the pause I needed to go deeper.”
